Two Belize City men arrested in connection with murder of San Pedro boat captain

By Aaron Humes: Days after the murder of 26-year-old Zinedine Pinelo of San Pedro Town on Northside Belize City, police have announced the arrests of two individuals in connection with the crime.

28-year-old Dashay Dashque Williams of Neal’s Pen Road and 19-year-old Kaylen Jaylen McFoy of Hunters Lane have been formally charged with murder. Pinelo was believed to have been lured into a fatal ambush when he went to visit the Hunters Lane area with a friend on Friday afternoon.

Pinelo’s killing took place only hours after the declaration of a State of Emergency, mainly on Southside Belize City, parts of the Belize Rural and Cayo District in measures to enhance community security.
