By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans are enjoying a warm and mostly dry Sunday afternoon as fair weather conditions continue across the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service, sunny skies with only a few cloudy spells are dominating much of the country today, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities, family gatherings, beach trips, and Father’s Day celebrations.
Temperatures are reaching as high as 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, while coastal communities are experiencing highs around 89 degrees Fahrenheit, accompanied by refreshing easterly winds between 10 and 20 knots.
The forecast indicates that shower activity will remain limited throughout the day, with only isolated showers expected. Residents in southern Belize should keep an eye on the skies tonight, however, as a few additional showers and isolated thunderstorms could develop in that region.
Marine conditions remain moderate, with waves ranging between four and six feet. Small craft operators are encouraged to remain cautious while at sea.
Looking ahead, forecasters say the pleasant weather pattern is expected to continue through Monday and into Tuesday, bringing mainly fair and warm conditions across the country.
There is also good news for Belizeans keeping an eye on the tropics. The National Meteorological Service reports that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the region during the next 48 hours.
After several weeks of unsettled weather and recent flooding concerns in parts of the country, the current stretch of sunshine and relatively dry conditions is a welcome break for many communities.
