In Santa Elena, residents can access NHI services at La Loma Luz Hospital, providing families in the Cayo District with an important option for accessible health care.
NHI covers a range of primary health care services designed to address the everyday medical needs of Belizeans.
Among the services offered are medical consultations and nursing services, consultations with pediatricians and obstetricians, clinical laboratory services, and generic medicines included in the National Formulary.
For many families, the program helps reduce the financial burden associated with seeking medical attention, particularly when consultations, laboratory testing and prescribed medicines are needed.
