By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in the Orange Walk District have recovered a quantity of suspected crack cocaine found abandoned on an empty lot, with no arrests made.
According to the Belize Police Department, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at around 7:30 a.m., officers conducted a search at an empty lot in Carmelita Village. During the search of some bushy areas, police reported finding a transparent plastic bag containing a small brick of a substance suspected to be crack cocaine.
With no one in the immediate area, the item was taken to the Orange Walk Police Station as found property.
At the station, police said the suspected crack cocaine was weighed at 11.75 grams. It was then sealed, labelled, and handed over to the exhibit keeper.
No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the discovery, and the matter remains under police attention.
