By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Stars Academy are on their way to Panama to compete in the UNCAF FIFA FORWARD Men’s Under-17 Interclubs Cup.
Stars Academy, led by coach Dale Pelayo, have been seeded in Group A against Panama’s Plaza Amador, Nicaragua’s Real Estelí, and Honduras’ Boca Juniors.
Group B comprises Costa Rica’s Liga Deportiva Alajuelense, Guatemala’s Comunicaciones, Panama’s Academy Champions, and Puerto Rico’s Academia Quintana.
The matches will be played at Estadios COS Sports Plaza and Yappy Park in Panama City.
Stars Academy will play the opening match on Sunday, September 29, at 9:00 am (8:00 am Belize). They will then battle Real Estelí on Tuesday, October 1, at 12:00 pm (11:00 am Belize). The final group match will pit them against Boca Juniors on Thursday, October 3, at 12:00 pm (11:00 am Belize).
Ranking matches, including the final and 3rd place games, will be played on Saturday, October 5.
