By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested and charged 23-year-old Nelson Canul, of DFC Area, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, with unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old teenager who became pregnant.
The minor reported to San Pedro Police in December of 2023, a week before Christmas, that she was allegedly living with Canul and having intercourse with him.
A medical examination confirmed carnal knowledge and, at the time, 22 weeks pregnancy or nearly five months along.
