By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A post-mortem examination has confirmed that 21-year-old Zuriel Ernesto Cruz of San Estevan Village, Orange Walk District, died as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic accident.
The examination was conducted on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Northern Regional Hospital Morgue. The lifeless body of Cruz was formally identified by a relative of the deceased.
Also present during the identification process were law enforcement personnel and a Scenes of Crime Officer.
Following the examination, the doctor officially determined the cause of death to be multiple blunt force traumatic injuries consistent with those typically sustained in a road traffic accident.
Authorities have not yet released further details surrounding the circumstances of the incident, but investigations are ongoing.
The death of Cruz has left his family and community in mourning as they await additional information.
