By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On September 19, 2024 as Belize honored Father of the Nation George Price celebrating National Service Day, the Government announced the transformation of the Price family home.
In honoring Price’s legacy, the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Price family to transform the Price family home into an educational center.
The proposal includes a classroom and lecture hall, along with a botanical and sculpture garden.
With the Prime Minister John Briceño in attendance, the signing concluded with the unveiling of a custom-made plaque commemorating the birthplace of the Father of the Nation.
