By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A post mortem examination has confirmed the cause of death of Jaime Glenn Garcia, a 25-year-old Belizean BDF volunteer from Progress Street, Orange Walk Town, whose sudden passing occurred on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026.
The examination was conducted on Friday, April 24th, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m. Following the procedure, the cause of death was officially certified as sudden cardiac death due to infective myopericarditis, compounded by obesity.
Garcia, born on April 26th, 2000, was described as a young and active member of the community. His unexpected death has left family members and residents in shock.
The body was formally identified to both the attending medical personnel and police by his brother-in-law, Amir Munoz, a 46-year-old Belizean mason who also resides on Progress Street in Orange Walk Town.
No signs of foul play were reported, and the findings of the post mortem provide medical clarity surrounding the sudden nature of Garcia’s death.
