By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): An elderly duo from Guinea Grass Village is facing drug trafficking charges tonight following a police operation in the Orange Walk District. On Thursday, April 2, police officially arrested and charged 70-year-old Wenfield Edmond Bull, a retired Belizean, and 66-year-old Gertrude Idoly Alford, a domestic worker, for drug-related offenses.
The pair, who both reside at the same address in Guinea Grass, were jointly charged with “Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another” for 62.22 grams of cannabis. Additionally, they face a second charge of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” for an additional 39.91 grams of cannabis.
Police confirmed that both Bull and Alford were cautioned after the charges were read, and both individuals chose to remain silent. They are expected to appear in the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charges.
