By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police investigations into a deadly weekend attack in Cowpen Village have resulted in murder charges being filed against a Nicaraguan national.
Officials say the victim, Elias Bejerano, died after being attacked with a machete during a violent confrontation on Sunday.
Following investigations into the incident, police detained and charged 37-year-old Raul Sergio Flores for the offense of murder.
The accused is expected to appear in court as the case moves forward.
Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing.
