By Aaron Humes: Five individuals were detained by police after a search of a residence in Branch Mouth Area led to the discovery of illicit substances. The search, conducted on Thursday at 10:45 a.m., found 23.9 grams of cannabis and 4.5 grams of cocaine hidden in a septic tank behind the house.
Those detained include Keelan McLaren, 34, Renan Thompson, 20, Jaidyn Moody, 21, Crispin Garbutt, 26, and Pedro Pop, 24. All were found at the residence during the search.
The substances were seized as evidence, and the individuals are being held pending charges.
