By Breaking Belize News Staff: Fifty-nine-year-old Shelmadine Fisher, a familiar face in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on drug-related offenses, has once again avoided jail time after being convicted for possession of a crack pipe.

Fisher, who is often seen around Belize City and reportedly claims to be a domestic worker residing on Kelly Street, appeared unrepresented in court where she pleaded guilty to possession of utensils used for taking drugs.

The charge stemmed from an incident on May 5, 2026, when police reportedly found Fisher in possession of a three-inch pipe at Taylors Alley. Authorities alleged the pipe was used in connection with the smoking of controlled drugs.

Fisher wasted no time in admitting to the offense and was fined $200 plus a $5 court cost. She has until June 30, 2026, to pay the fine or face one month imprisonment in default.

Court records show that Fisher has repeatedly appeared before the courts over the past several months on similar drug-related offenses, most commonly involving crack pipes. Despite her repeated convictions, she has so far managed to avoid custodial sentences and continues to receive fines instead.
