By Rubén Morales Iglesias: PACT on TRAK — Amado Cruz, Enrique Cruz, and Cristian Lopez — are the champions of the 2026 Belikin La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge after winning Monday’s final leg from Burrell Boom to Belize City by more than a minute and securing the overall title by over eight minutes.
The trio completed a commanding sweep of all four stages, dominating the race from start to finish. They opened with a strong victory from San Ignacio to Banana Bank, extended their lead on Saturday’s run to Double Head Cabbage, tightened their grip with Sunday’s win into Burrell Boom, and sealed the championship oj Monday with another decisive performance on the final stretch into Belize City.
Their consistency, pace, and control over four days left no doubt. PACT on TRAK not only won every stage but did so with authority, building a margin that no team could challenge.
Riverside Boyz (Toucan Solutions), Black Orchid Resort, and Ranza River Cruisers battled fiercely behind them, but none could match the sustained speed and teamwork of the champions.
With today’s victory, Amado Cruz, Enrique Cruz, and Cristian Lopez cement their place among the most dominant teams in recent La Ruta Maya history, completing a wire‑to‑wire triumph that showcased experience, discipline, and exceptional river craft.
