Official names released for 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season

The Atlantic Hurricane Season goes through from June to November.

Forecasters are predicting an “extremely active” Atlantic Hurricane Season this year with 23 named storms.

Weather experts at Colorado State University predict that there could be 11 hurricanes, five of which are expected to become Category 3, 4 or 5, meaning they’d have wind speeds of at least 111 mph.
