By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Corozal Football Association U17 Male Tournament concluded with United Force FC being crowned champions after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over No Mercy FC. However, No Mercy’s Alex Ortiz claimed the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.
The final match took place yesterday at Carolina Football Field, where United Force FC took home a trophy and medals, all sponsored by Vela Freight.
Ortiz was named the MVP of the tournament for his outstanding performance and leadership on the field. Ortiz also claimed the Top Goal Scorer award, solidifying his status as a key player for No Mercy FC.
Individual awards were given to:
- Most Valuable Player & Top Goal Scorer: Alex Ortiz
- Best Goalkeeper: Christopher August
- Best Defender: Troy Ferguson
- Best Midfielder: Jonathan Flores
- Best Forward: Rangel Howe
- Best Coach: Omar Flores Sr.
- Fair Play Award: United Force FC
