By Zoila Palma: On June 25, 2026, the Ministry of Education and partners officially inaugurated the new Santa Cruz Preschool in Orange Walk.
Area Representative of Orange Walk North Ramon Cervantes said that the facility features a modern, open-space design created to foster creativity, learning, and development in a safe and welcoming environment. The preschool is fully equipped with classrooms, restrooms, office space, a kitchen area, access ramps for inclusivity, and a playground where our little ones can learn, grow, and thrive.
“With an investment of BZ$581,000, this project demonstrates our commitment to strengthening early childhood education and ensuring that every child has access to quality learning opportunities from the very beginning.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Belize Social Investment Fund, the Caribbean Development Bank, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology for their partnership and dedication in making this important project a reality,” Cervantes expressed.
Cervantes says that investing in our children is investing in the future of Belize. Together, we continue building stronger communities and creating opportunities for generations to come.
