New Haulover Bridge officially opens Thursday; access closed during ceremony says MIDH

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing advises the public of the temporary closure of the Haulover Bridge on the Philip Goldson Highway in Belize City that will take place late on Thursday morning, April 25.

This scheduled temporary closure is necessary to facilitate safe access to the bridge for the official opening ceremony. The bridge will be closed to all vehicles for approximately 30 minutes at about 11 a.m. The public is advised to use the John Smith Road as an alternate entrance to Belize City.

As always, the public is asked to be vigilant and exercise caution while driving, please follow traffic warnings and the instructions of Transport and Police personnel.
