The National Met service says that these specialized aircrafts fly directly into tropical storms and hurricanes to collect critical data that improves forecasting and strengthens early warning systems—helping to protect lives and communities across Belize and the region.
“Today’s visit provides a rare and exciting opportunity to see this incredible aircraft up close and learn more about the science behind hurricane monitoring. We hope to inspire the young minds of Belize in science and technology with this visit,” the met service said.
