By Zoila Palma: On July 16, 2026, Clinica Santa Maria officially opened providing National Health Insurance (NHI) services to the community of Benque Viejo del Carmen.
During the opening ceremonies, Mayor Jorge Rosales extended congratulations and gratitude for the initiative that will serve the residents of Benque Viejo.
Attendees also included representatives from the NHI (National Health Insurance) Program.
Clinica Santa Maria is spearheaded by Dr. Pakman and Dr. Luis Chulin.
Operations are led by Christian Rosales, Clinic Administrator.
“An expert in public health trained in Taiwan, Christian brings invaluable expertise to ensure our healthcare services run smoothly and efficiently for every patient,” the Benque Viejo Town Council said.
The Benque Viejo Town Council expressed gratitude to all invited guests including representatives of the Benque Viejo Police formation, Benque Viejo Clincal Lab, Community health workers, school administrators and community members.
“Without the overwhelming support, dedication, and contributions from our entire team, local educational leaders, security forces, health officials, and community partners, none of this would be possible. Thank you for welcoming us—we look forward to serving you and your family,” a statement from the clinic added.
