By Zoila Palma: The National Bus Company (NBC) says that it is closely monitoring the flooding affecting several communities in southern Belize.
NBC says that scheduled services continue to operate.
“NBC is working closely with relevant authorities and will be guided by any directives issued by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) regarding road conditions and public safety. Should conditions warrant the suspension, delay, or rerouting of services, the public will be advised immediately through NBC’s official communication channels,” the company said.
The company says that the safety of passengers, drivers, and staff remains their highest priority.
In addition, NBC has instructed its operators to exercise heightened caution in affected areas and will continue to assess conditions throughout the day.
