By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A tense situation unfolded in San Felipe Village, Orange Walk on Monday afternoon when a domestic dispute led to property damage.
A 53 year old woman says she returned home around 4:00 pm only to find her son inside the house shouting after reportedly drinking since the morning.
Outside, several empty glass bottles that had been placed near a sink were found shattered.
Trying to avoid confrontation, the woman stayed outside. But moments later, her son approached her and threw coins in her direction before grabbing the remaining bottles and smashing them against a wall.
Fearing the situation could escalate, she called the police.
Authorities later detained the 27 year old man, and he is expected to face charges for damage to property.
