By Zoila Palma: Today, 719 candidates from across Belize are sitting the Belize Police Department’s recruitment entrance examination for Squad 99.
The Belize Police Department’s exam is a rigorous assessment designed to evaluate decision-making, reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, and general knowledge. Candidates must achieve a minimum passing mark of 60 percent to advance in the selection process.
The Belize Police Department then shortlists candidates following strict screening protocols in addition to passing the exam.
“This is done to uphold the integrity of the examination and ensure only the most qualified applicants are considered.
This process is essential to building a capable and trustworthy police service. The BPD is committed to thorough and transparent screening at every stage,” the Belize Police Department said.
Commissioner of Police Richard Rosado and the BPD extends well wishes to all candidates success in today’s examination.
