By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health & Wellness, in partnership with UNICEF Belize joined in celebrating the official opening of two new lactation centers at Transparent BPO’s offices in Belmopan and Belize City.
A brief ceremony was held at the company’s Belmopan location, followed by a tour of the newly established lactation room.
These dedicated spaces provide a safe, clean, and supportive environment for mothers to breastfeed or express milk during work hours, promoting exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a child’s life.
The Ministry is encouraging other employers across Belize to follow suit and reach out for guidance in creating similar accommodations.
