By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Weather experts in Belize have forecasted that warm and hot weather conditions continue.

Temperatures are expected to exceed 97 degrees inland today.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is urging parents to ensure that children are drinking enough water and are monitored.

Parents are advised to talk to them about outdoor activities especially during the hottest time to the day.

Reduce their risk of heat stress which can include symptoms such as headaches, fainting and muscle pain among others.

The Ministry says that Pregnant women are especially vulnerable to experience heat stress during these very hot days which can lead to heat related illness in the woman and problems can affect the development of the fetus.

Please visit the nearest health center if you or someone around you is experiencing heat stress.
