Ministry of Health and Wellness urges Belizeans to Stay Hydrated as temperatures soar!

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Heat advisories have been issued as inland temperatures soar to over 104F inland.

The weather forecast is for generally hot and dry weather to continue.

Residents, especially those inland, should stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible this afternoon.

You are encouraged to seek shade to stay cool, wear light clothing, use umbrellas or hats and monitor children and elderly persons during these hot days.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness urges all Belizeans to protect themselves by:

Be aware of heat stress

Easily identify symptoms

Act immediately to protect

Take to a health facility

Remember to drink enough water!
