By Zoila Palma: On May 28, 2026, the Stann Creek and Toledo District Agriculture Stations were recipients of much needed support package materials to strengthen and support the agriculture stations in those districts. The items were handed over at the Stann Creek Agriculture Station during a brief ceremony.
Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries Rodwell Ferguson handed over the items.
For Stann Creek, the support package included a rototiller, a hand push corn planter, complete Beekeeping Suits, motorized knapsack sprayer, a HP laptop, pressure washer, poultry incubator with trays, seed packs for tomato and cabbage varieties, three different blends of fertilizers and 2 different blends of polyfeed products.
For Toledo, the district received a hand push corn planter, HP laptop, complete beekeeping suits projector, seed packs for tomato and cabbage varieties, three different blends of fertilizers and 2 different blends of polyfeed products, barb wire, pressure washer, and a roll of covered structure plastic.
The support packages were handed over as Minister Ferguson concludes his tour of the Stann Creek Districts, with indications that other districts will receive similar support in the coming weeks.
