McNab Visual Strategies joins lineup for 2024 Belikin La Ruta Maya River Challenge

The annual Belikin La Ruta Maya River Challenge, a cornerstone of Belize’s National Heroes and Benefactors Day holiday weekend, will take place March 8th to 11th. Team McNab joins the ranks of dedicated paddlers, inspired by the event’s spirit of teamwork, adventure, and perseverance.

The McNab team has undergone rigorous training, honing their paddling skills and race strategies. The team, comprised of paddlers Jose Garrido Jr., Belman Suchite, and Darwin Suchite, along with a two-person support crew, are eager to embrace the challenges of the river.

The Belikin La Ruta Maya River Challenge, founded in 1998, embodies Belize’s adventurous spirit. This grueling, 180-mile canoe race winds through the Belize River, from the Maya Mountains to Belize City. Paddlers worldwide converge to test their limits amidst stunning scenery and Belize’s rich cultural heritage.

More than just competition, the Belikin La Ruta Maya celebrates Belizean identity, community, and the enduring connection between people and the natural world.
