By Horace Palacio: A man was shot and killed on Wednesday in Belize City’s Northside, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Gion Bernard, also known as “Gizmo”, was found unresponsive after gunfire erupted in the Castle Street area, according to police.
Authorities have opened an investigation, but no details have been released regarding potential suspects or a motive.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, though authorities have not yet confirmed the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
