By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a burglary at an unfinished house off West San Martin Street in Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk District, after the owner reported a substantial quantity of lumber missing.

According to the report made at the Trial Farm Police Sub-Station on Sunday, July 19, the property owner, a self-employed Belizean residing in the Palmar area of Orange Walk Town, first received warning of trouble on July 11. At 9:34 p.m. that night, a relative who lives near the property called to say she had seen two young men inside the unfinished 28 by 34 foot concrete structure and had told them to leave the premises.

On Sunday, July 19, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the owner visited the property and discovered that twenty-five pieces of lumber, each measuring 2 inches by 10 inches by 12 feet, were missing.

The owner told police he does not know anyone who would want to interfere with his belongings, has heard nothing from neighbours, and does not know the individuals his relative saw inside the house. He has requested police assistance in locating the missing lumber and court action in the matter.

Anyone with information can contact the nearest police station.
