By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow met with Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness at the OPM Jamaica House.
PM Holness and Barrow discussed economic development and education.
“We discussed the State of our Nations In particular economic development, education and citizen security,” Barrow said.
In addition, Barrow noted that PM Holness is also the Chairman of the Caribbean Democratic Union of which the UDP is a member.
“Thus it was important I seek his counsel on how best to ensure we deliver 16 seats in the General Elections that are upon us,” Barrow added.
Barrow thanked PM Holness for “his graciousness in making time for our courtesy call and providing invaluable wisdom and solutions for common challenges we face as the UDP prepares to form the next Government of Belize.”
