By Zoila Palma: Today, the Ministry of Immigration, Governance and Labour recognized the outstanding contributions of its officers and staff during the Labour Department’s 2025 Award Ceremony.
Minister Kareem Musa, joined Labour Commissioner Rissela Dominguez Patt and Deputy Labour Commissioner Claire Lamb in celebrating the dedication, professionalism, and achievements of Labour Department personnel from across the country.
The awards recognized excellence across key areas of the department’s work, highlighting individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to serving Belize’s workers, employers, and communities.

2026 First Quarter Reporting Compliance Excellence Award

Minister Musa commended the Labour Department’s continued commitment to serving Belizean workers, employers, and communities. He highlighted the department’s important role in promoting fair labour practices, protecting workers’ rights, and advancing decent work throughout Belize.
Labour Commissioner Dominguez Patt thanked staff for their dedication and encouraged them to continue delivering quality service to the public while strengthening labour administration across the country.
The Labour Department extended congratulations to all award recipients and extends its appreciation to every staff member whose hard work contributes to building a stronger and more resilient labour sector for Belize.
