By Aaron Humes: Jimmy Rojas and another person identified as Eric Frazier were shot on Saturday on Tibruce Street in Belize City, in what some believe set off a round of violence linked to gang rivalry.
Rojas, known to police as a suspect in the killing of Jose Matus in 2024, was working in the area when a vehicle pulled up, a man came out and began opening fire on Rojas; when police responded an exchange of gunfire erupted that also injured Frazer.
Both men are stable at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital as police investigations continue.
