By Aaron Humes: A grocery shop on Kraal Road, Belize City was apparently burglarized on Friday, April 17.
According to the owner, he had closed and locked up his shop at one in the afternoon and left for church. About 40 minutes late, a friend called to say someone was inside his shop.
On his return he found his shop opened up and ransacked. Among the items stolen was $1,000 cash, a case of ‘Man a Yaad’ drinks and two digital cameras valued at $315.
Entry was gained by cutting open the hasp and stable lock on the burglar bar window located at the front of the shop.
One person is being questioned as the matter is under investigation.
