Gunmen target house in Hattieville; multiple shots fired

By Aaron Humes: According to police, on Friday at 10:45 p.m. Hattieville police received information of shots fired in the Farmers Site area.

Resident Dion Martin and others were in the living room of his house when he heard about eight loud bangs that sounded like gunshots.

A search was conducted in the area where 8 expended shells were found about 50 yards away from the house. Damages that appeared to be bullet holes were found on a red Ford Ranger pickup truck tailgate parked in the yard in front of the house. A bullet hole was also seen on a 25-foot fiberglass boat, and on a blue beach cruiser bicycle parked in front of the house. The area was pitch dark, and they didn’t see anyone.

No one was injured. Police are investigating.
