On August 13 2024, Dr. Osmond Martinez, the elected representative of the Toledo East Constituency, was sworn in as the new Minister of State for Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade before Her Excellency Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor General of Belize.
Hon. Martinez was joined at his swearing-in ceremony by Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño, ministerial colleagues from the government, family members and friends. The Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers in attendance warmly welcomed him as the new minister of state.
The attendees congratulated Dr. Martinez after he took the oath of office, expressing confidence that he will serve the people and Government of Belize admirably in this new capacity.
