By Jose Luis Cruz: Germain ‘Horse’ Garnett, a labourer from the St. Martin de Porres area of Belize City, was shot early this morning after a night out socializing.
According to reports, Garnett was socializing at a club in Ladyville and was allegedly involved in an altercation.
Garnett later left the club en route to Belize City and someone from inside a car that was following him on the Philip Goldson Highway opened fire on his motorcycle . He was injured in the shooting and was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Garnett is known to police and is not the first time there has been an attempt on his life.
