By Aaron Humes: Effective today, Friday, Floralia Limited has gotten back its early morning runs from Punta Gorda Town to Belize City and back.
The Transport Board under the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Transport met on December 14 and approved the applications for two bus runs by Floralia Limited.
The first run leaves P.G. at 5:30 a.m. and reaches Belize City via Independence, Dangriga, and Belmopan about seven hours later. It operates seven days a week.
The second run leaves at 6:30 a.m. Mondays to Saturdays and reaches Belize City around 1 in the afternoon.
At its January meeting, the Board will consider applications for a single run from Dangriga to Belize City and back.
The High Court had ruled in November that the runs were unlawfully approved to the detriment of long-time competitors James Bus Line and Griga Line.
