Since its grand opening on June 9, 2024, this captivating museum has become a must-see destination for nature enthusiasts and families alike.
The Belize Natural History Archive offers a fascinating look into the region’s diverse wildlife, showcasing approximately 60 bird species.
From diurnal and nocturnal birds to aquatic, migratory, and birds of prey, the collection highlights the richness of the region’s avian life.
Additionally, the museum features an intriguing array of animal skulls, including those of porcupines, coyotes, tayras, and more, providing a unique educational experience for visitors.
Several schools have already visited the museum, enriching their students’ understanding of natural history.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 12 PM to 6 PM, and on Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM, making it easy for locals and tourists to explore at their convenience.
For Belizeans, the entrance fee is $20 for adults and $10 for children aged 10 and older, while children under 10 can enjoy free admission.
The museum will offer free admission for all Belizeans every Sunday throughout September.
