By Horace Palacio: El Cayo Boardwalk, a new tourism destination showcasing the natural beauty of the Macal River, has been inaugurated and is now open to the public.

The boardwalk features four kiosks available for rent to business owners in San Ignacio and Santa Elena. It is expected to serve as a lively hub for activities such as night markets, creating a communal space for students, residents, and tourists.

The project was made possible through a partnership between the Belize Tourism Board and Orlando Habet, Minister of Sustainable Development and Climate Change and Area Representative for Cayo North East.
