Distraught Silver Creek resident appeals for authorities to allow him to bury his wife

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Miguel Choco, a grieving resident of Silver Creek Village in southern Belize, is pleading with authorities for assistance in laying his late wife to rest. 

Despite her passing 11 days ago, her body remains held pending a postmortem examination in Ladyville. 

Choco is concerned due to the prolonged delay and seeks clarity.

Choco’s anguish is compounded by the absence of information regarding the timeline for his wife’s return for burial. 

While he understands the necessity of postmortem procedures in cases of uncertain cause of death, the extended waiting period has left him and his family feeling helpless and distressed.

Choco expressed that he wishes to perform her funeral rites and begin the journey toward closure. 

He is urgently imploring relevant authorities to provide explanations and expedite the proceedings. 

Choco says that his family is grieving and appeals for the relevant authorities to release his wife’s body so that she can be laid to rest.
