Contraband Clash: Man reportedly shot by Customs in Corozal

By Horace Palacio: An early morning shooting incident in Corozal Town has left one man injured. Reports state that customs officers were involved in the altercation that transpired near the Santa Rosa area, known for cross-border smuggling activity.

Details remain scarce, but initial reports indicate the man was shot in the head and back during the encounter with customs officials. The exact sequence of events and the severity of the victim’s injuries are still being investigated.
