By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 33-year-old construction worker and a 23-year-old food vendor were arraigned in separate cases of possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Alton Edison Edwin Bailey, a resident of Antelope Street Extension, first appeared before a Senior Magistrate in Court #3, where he was charged with possession of 0.15 grams of crack cocaine found in a bedroom at his residence on January 11, 2025. Bailey pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of $1,000. He is scheduled to return to court on February 3, 2025.
Shortly after, Bailey, along with Anna Maria Aguilar, also of Antelope Street Extension, appeared before another magistrate for a joint charge of possession of 7.6 grams of crack cocaine with intent to supply. Both defendants pleaded not guilty.
The court did not object to bail, and the pair was released on $3,000 bail each. They are expected to reappear in court on March 13, 2025, for this case.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged drug offenses.
