Byron Pope secures victory in 2nd Annual Pre-New Year’s Day Cycling Race Masters Category

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Byron Pope of the Anthony Mahler DIGI Alliance Cycling Team emerged as the victor in the Masters Category at the 2nd Annual Pre-New Year’s Day Cycling Race. The event, which took cyclists from Orange Walk to Belize City, saw Pope outpace his Masters’ competitors to clinch the top spot.

Pope was fourth overall in the general classification.

Pope’s performance earned him first place and a cash prize of $300.00.

The race results for the Masters Category are as follows:

1. Byron Pope (A. Mahler DIGI Alliance Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $300.00 Cash
2. Kenroy Gladden (SPD Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $300.00 Cash
3. Henry Moriera (A. Mahler DIGI Alliance Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $250.00 Cash
4. Jose Ignacio Choto (Troyer Treats Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $200.00 Cash
5. Gregory Lovell (Lovell Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $150.00 Cash
6. Dwayne Wade (BZ Boyz Cycling) – M/Masters 50+ – $100.00 Cash
7. Dwight Lopez (Rolling Shattaz Cycling Team) – M/Masters 50+ – $75.00 Cash
8. Rutherford Cunningham (A. Mahler DIGI Alliance Cycling Team) – M/Masters 50+ – $50.00 Cash
9. Alvan Gillett (SPD Cycling Team) – M/Masters 40+ – $25.00 Cash
10. Vallan Symns (SPD Cycling Team) – M/Masters – $25.00 Cash
