Businesses urged to complete Annual Filings on Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry website

By Zoila Palma:  Today, the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) is reminding all registered business entities that those which failed to complete their annual filing between January 1 and June 30, 2026, will have their status updated to “Pending Strike Off.”

BCCAR explained that the status indicates that the entity has not yet submitted its required annual filing or annual return for the year. As part of the process, the Online Business Registration System (OBRS) will send reminder notifications to the email address linked to the account.

BCCAR is encouraging all affected businesses to complete their outstanding filings before December 31, 2026, to avoid further action that could affect their business status. The registry stressed the importance of keeping business records up to date to remain in good standing.

Businesses that do not receive a reminder email are advised to check whether their email inbox is full or if the email address registered with OBRS is still active.

If necessary, business owners should log in to the OBRS portal to verify the status of their entity under the Business Entity Register.
