By Aaron Humes: A resident of Lord’s Bank, Belize District was robbed of more than $3,500 in cash and other valuables when his home was broken into early Sunday morning.
According to police, someone got inside the blue concrete bungalow measuring approximately 22 feet by 34 feet between 4 and 9 a.m. The burglar made off with a navy blue Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone, a 10K gold necklace, a black PlayStation 4 console, a dark blue wireless PS4 controller, and a total of $300 in cash. The estimated value of the stolen goods amounts to approximately $3,550.
Responding police noted that there were no signs of forced entry into the home, although damage to the front burglar bar door was evident, particularly just above the deadbolt lock.
Police are investigating.
