By Aaron Humes: A post-mortem examination of the body of Eric Leonard Storey, 52, returned cause of death as “trauma consistent with a fall.”
Storey was discovered unconscious near the Casa Vista Hotel on the north end of Caye Caulker, where he had checked in just a day prior. Police say he was staying there by himself.
Witnesses report hearing a loud thud before finding Storey motionless on the ground. He was swiftly transported to the Caye Caulker Health Clinic, but despite doctors’ efforts, he passed away later Tuesday evening, October 28.
Police investigations continue.
