The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing informs the general public of the transportation of extra-wide and oversized steel truss segments from Georgeville to Santa Familia Village in support of the Santa Familia Bridge Project. These loads will travel along the George Price Highway, continue to the roundabout at the intersection with the Spanish Lookout Road, and proceed along the Spanish Lookout–Bullet Tree Road to Santa Familia Village.
Transport will occur on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
The public is advised to be vigilant and exercise extreme caution when approaching and navigating past the heavy equipment transporting these structural steel trusses. The extra-wide loads may occupy almost the entire width of the highway, and traffic traveling in the opposite direction may be required to pull off the road to allow the loads to pass.
Drivers are asked to watch for traffic escorts, reduce speed, heed all warnings put in place, and follow the instructions of traffic managers.
Motorists are encouraged to abide by transport and safety precautions and to exercise due care and attention at all times.
