By Aaron Humes: The Court of Appeal today heard the appeal of Bert Vasquez, convicted in 2018 of attempted rape.
The victim said Vasquez picked her up in Belize City then took her to an area in Belama Phase 4 where he had sexual intercourse with her against her will, even after she tried to repel him.
She knew Vasquez and thought he would safely take her home.
A judgment has been reserved.
