By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize’s tourism industry is set to receive another boost after BermudAir announced the launch of nonstop flights between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Belize beginning in December 2026.
The new seasonal service will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from December 20, 2026 through May 2, 2027, giving travelers from North Carolina direct access to Belize during the peak tourism season.
The flights will be operated using an Embraer 190 aircraft and will also coincide with BermudAir’s expansion into Turks and Caicos.
Airport officials in Raleigh welcomed the announcement, noting that the new route will make Caribbean travel more convenient for passengers while strengthening international connections.
The addition of Raleigh-Durham creates another important gateway into Belize from the United States and provides tourism stakeholders with access to a growing market of travelers looking for warm-weather destinations during the winter months.
Tickets for the new route are scheduled to go on sale on June 5.
